Are you interested in making an impact on residential child care? If you are a Residential Child Care contractor or member of an affiliated association, you can apply to be a member of the Committee on Advancing Residential Practices (CARP).
The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) commissioner will appoint members to the council to serve a term ending September 1, 2021. Applications are due by 11:59 p.m., August 2, 2019.
DFPS will consider the applicants’ qualifications, background and interest in serving on the committee.

A CARP member must regularly participate in committee meetings and in other meetings as needed. Committee meetings will be held at least quarterly in Austin or at the call of the presiding officer. Please note: travel expenses to advisory committee meetings, subcommittee meetings, workgroup meetings, or any other activities are not reimbursed.
